Q: What the heck is this theme? WHAT is a twunk? Is this related to the upcoming summer camp game?
A: This zine is dedicated to Kokichi Ouma being a twunk! A twunk is someone who is between being a twink or a hunk.
As for the new summer camp game, yes and no. The official art of Ouma with abs definitely spurred this zine's creation, but the new game/beach setting is not an official theme for this zine. If you would like to draw Ouma in his beachwear, that's fine! But it's not the only option.
Q: Is this zine digital or physical?
A: This zine is exclusively digital.
Q: Is this zine for profit, charity, or is it free? If it's for charity, what charity are you donating to?
A: All proceeds will be going to The Trevor Project, a charity dedicated to suicide prevention among LGBT+ youth!
Q: Is this zine SFW?
A: Short answer: yes, this zine is SFW.
Long answer: there will be no sexually explicit content or gore in this zine. However, due to the nature of the theme, Ouma will be depicted shirtless throughout. Additionally, some mildy suggestive content may be allowed, as long as the mods feel it doesn't push the envelope too much.
Q: Is there an age minimum for applying?
A: Although this zine will feature no explicit content, we ask that contributors be at least 16+. If you are 15 and will be 16 by the time the creation period on our schedule begins, you are welcome to apply.
Q: Are ships allowed?
A: No, explicitly romantic ships are not allowed. Platonic character interaction is welcome!
Q: Will this zine feature writers? What would they even write about?
A: The inclusion of writers will be determined by the results of our interest check! But we were hoping to see some fun, comedic writing about other characters reacting to Ouma's abs, or something similar. If any interested writers have other concepts in mind, we would love to hear them!
Q: Can I create content for this zine where his abs are actually fake?
A: No

APPLICATION GUIDELINES
GENERAL
All contributors must be 16+. If you will be 16 by September 5th, you may apply. (Please note this on your form, if that is the case.)
Your samples must be entirely your own work, and not traced or stolen.
Your samples may contain suggestive content, nonsexual nudity, or mild gore if you'd like, but no explicit pornographic content.
Please use content warnings if your work contains sensitive material.
Previous zine experience is not required.
You may apply for both art and writing, but cannot be accepted to both positions.
ARTISTS
Please submit three samples of your best work, as well as a portfolio. The individual samples may be formatted as links or uploaded directly to the Drive in our form. The portfolio may be an art-only social media account, carrd, or a Google Drive folder. Please make sure your links are accessible to the mods.
Danganronpa examples are encouraged, but not required.
It is encouraged but not required to have samples depicting characters with some amount of muscle.
You may apply for page illustration, digital merch art, or both. If you'd like to be a page artist (or would like to create a wallpaper as merch), please submit at least one sample with a background.
For merch artists: please keep in mind that this project is digital only. Examples of physical merch you've created are welcome, but not required.
WRITERS
Please submit two or three samples of your best work, as well as a portfolio. The individual samples may be from Ao3 (or any other fic publishing site) or Google Docs. The portfolio may be an Ao3/fic publishing account, or a Google Drive folder. Please make sure your links are accessible to the mods.
At least one of your samples must be Danganronpa related, to ensure that the mods are familiar enough with the source to judge characterization.
Samples should be between 500 and 3,000 words each. You can use excerpts of longer pieces, but at least one of your samples should be complete.
